Rehak makes Dynamos exit

The Invicta Dynamos have confirmed that Czech forward Adam Rehak has departed the club by mutual consent.

It comes with Rehak having become unsettled during 2017/18 leaving Head Coach Kevin Parrish on the lookout for a new import signing.

Adam Rehak re-signed for the Mos in the summer after a hugely successful first term in Kent that saw him tally 54 goals and 40 assists in 45 games and helped the side claim the NIHL South Playoff title. However the Czech forward has found the going a little tougher this term with 14 points in as many fixtures and has missed a number of training sessions and games. As a result, both club and player have decided to part company with the Dynamos now on the hunt for a replacement.

Speaking on the departure of Adam Rehak, Head Coach Kevin Parrish said, “Adam has been very unsettled since the season started making numerous trips back home that has seen him absent from both training and fixtures. Unfortunately, as a club now competing in the second tier of British ice hockey, we are not able to easily accommodate these absences and therefore the decision has been made to part ways. Whilst 2017/18 has not worked out for Adam at the Dynamos we would like to thank him for his efforts, especially the role he played the previous year, and wish him well for the future”.

The Head Coach then commented on his future plans saying, “Obviously the loss of Adam mid-season is far from ideal but I will be looking to add a replacement as soon as possible to help us better face the challenge of the NIHL South Division 1. As soon as we have any news it will be posted online for all supporters and we thank them for their patience at this time”.

The Invicta Dynamos are next in action this Saturday as they host the Bracknell Bees at Planet Ice Gillingham from 6.00pm. With the most recent encounter going to penalty shots, and the Berkshire outfit also without their import forward due to suspension, it is sure to be a hotly contested encounter when the sides faceoff again this weekend.
