Charlton gained their first away win of the campaign in dramatic circumstances at Carrow Road on Tuesday.

There were just four minutes remaining when Johnnie Jackson’s shot took a deflection of Norwich skipper, Russell Martin, and wrong footed keeper, John Ruddy, to end the away section into delerium.

Joe Gomez and Lawrie Wilson came in for Chris Solly and the injured Johann Gudmundsson.

Karlan Ahearne-Grant was again on the bench and made his debut, coming on as a late substitute.

There was also a first appearance on the bench for midfielder, Jack Munns.

Norwich came out of the blocks flying andStephen Henderson had to make a smart early save from Lewis Grabban.

The Canaries had the ball in the net four minutes before the interval, but Martin’s effort was ruled out for a foul on Henderson.

For all their possession and movement , Norwich did not work Henderson that hard.

Henderson was called upon early in the second period to foil Cameron Jerome and there was stoic defending of the highest order midway through the half.

First Henderson stopped a Nathan Redmond effort and Rhoys Wiggins hooked  Wes Hoolahan’s effort off the line.

Then came the sucker punch at the end, when Jackson’s goal sent the   travelling supporters into ecstacy.

The Addicks rode their luck at times but ultimately won the game thanks to Jackson’s wand of a left foot.
