It has been confirmed that Howie Mainwaring will be racing in the MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship for 2015.Howie Mainwaring Brands

Mainwaring will remain with the Quattro Plant Kawasaki for the coming campaign and he will be joined by Luke Mossey, who makes the move up from the Motorpoint British Supersport Championship.

Howie obviously achieved his first British Superbike win in the first race of the final round of the season at Brands Hatch, as well as securing another podium finish that weekend. It underlined the talent that he has and why the team have kept faith with him for 2015.

The team scored a position in the end of season Showdown for the first time last year with Dan Linfoot and are now preparing to build on that performance with a solid winter testing programme.

Mossey will make his debut in the Superbike class in 2014, stepping up from the Motorpoint British Supersport Championship where he has been a consistent title-challenger. The Cambridge-based rider celebrated two wins and a further six podium finishes this year and is relishing the new challenge.Howie Mainwaring Brands2

Speaking about staying with the team for a second season, Mainwaring said: “I am really looking forward to this season, I think even more than I did last year!

“It is my second year with the team and it feels nice to be signed and ready, especially as we ended the year so strongly at the final few rounds. It is great to have Luke as a team-mate as I feel like we can work together in his first season.

“The last round at Brands Hatch was fantastic and it all came together for me and the team and I want to start the 2015 season picking up where we left off. We know the team are capable of being in the Showdown, Dan proved that last year, so that is where I want to be. We need to be consistently fighting at the front.”
