Kent Spitfires to play Pakistan

The Pakistan national team will be coming to The County Ground, Beckenham to take on the Kent Spitfires on Saturday 27th April as they prepare for the Cricket World Cup next year.

Sarfraz Ahmed will be captaining the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy winners against a Kent team that played out a draw in a three day tour match between the two sides this Summer. Joe Denly scored an unbeaten 113* against a Pakistan bowling attack that included star bowlers Mohammad Amir, Hasan Ali and Shadab Khan.

Will Gidman was the pick of the Kent bowlers taking 5-47, alongside good bowling performances from Harry Podmore (2-35) and Calum Haggett (2-41).

The 5th ranked ODI side in the world will look to use this fixture as the perfect start to their time in England for the World Cup, against a Kent Spitfires side that have proven quality in the one-day format. Kent Spitfires reached the Royal London One Day Cup Final at Lord’s in 2018.

Tickets will be available for this fixture in the new year and entry is free for all Kent Cricket members. This match counts as one day in the Six Pack package.
