Kent sides set for big week
Kent sides set for big week

With quite possibly the biggest action this week taking place on Monday night with five Kent clubs in the draw for the First Round proper of the Emirates FA Cup, there is still some terrific on field action laying in wait for us!

Whilst the fans of the Gills will be relieved that there’s no sign of Brackley Town in this season’s draw, you can bet that Steve Lovell won’t be hoping for any Kent “reunions” – it’s a great night if you’re involved – BBC2 from 7.00pm!

Meanwhile Lovell’s main focus will be on the long trip that the Gills face to Home Park to face rock bottom Plymouth Argyle.  How the Gills boss wouldn’t love a repeat of the score when the two sides met on the last day of last season when a Tom Eaves inspired hat-trick saw the Gills run out 5-2 winners.

In the BOSTIK Premier, leaders Tonbridge Angels face another massive test at Longmead as third placed Enfield Town are the visitors.  Margate in 8th welcome AFC Hornchurch in 11th to Hartsdown Park whilst at Cheriton Road, Neil Cugley’s Folkestone Invicta welcome Carshalton Athletic.

There’s a fascinating tie in the Velocity Trophy as South Eastern form side Hythe Town welcome Bognor Regis  Town (second in the Premier) to Reachfields.

There’s a selection of games in SCEFL and the SCEFL League Cup across both nights so please check before travelling…

It all builds up to another great weekend where we’ll have Buildbase FA Trophy and FA Vase ties to look forward to…
