Kent Cricket have announced that Air Ambulance Kent Surrey Sussex (KSS) has been chosen as the Club’s official Charity Partner for the 2021 season.

KSS provides world-class, fast-response and emergency medical care every hour of every day, and has saved thousands of lives. Their charity headquarters located at Rochester Airport, and their aircraft hangered and maintained at Redhill Aerodrome.

KSS covers an area of 7,390 km² in the South East of England, and has attended more than 30,000 incidents since they were founded in 1989, saving thousands of lives.

Kent Cricket’s Director of Partnerships, Andy Griffiths, said: “KSS provides a vital service that directly affects thousands of people across our county and the surrounding area.

“As they are an independent charity that relies on 88% of their annual income coming from donations and fundraising, we’re proud to be supporting such a worthwhile local charity as we head into another exciting Summer of cricket in 2021.”

Helene Poursain, Director of Fundraising and Events at KSS, said: “We are delighted that Kent Cricket have chosen to support Air Ambulance Kent Surrey Sussex as their 2021 charity partner.

“This is a great opportunity to collaborate with everyone involved with Kent Cricket, from their employees to Members, to raise awareness of our organisation in the local communities in which we serve and much needed funds.

“It costs £15 million a year to run our life-saving service and we are so grateful to all of our incredible supporters.  We look forward to working closely with Kent Cricket throughout 2021.”
