International supercars coming to Brands Hatch
International supercars coming to Brands Hatch

The Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit will reverberate with the sounds of supercars from many of the world’s leading manufacturers when the Blancpain GT World Challenge Europe kicks off this weekend.

Twenty-six stunning racing cars from Audi, Mercedes, Ferrari, Aston Martin, and Lamborghini will star in two races on Sunday, each lasting an hour with pit stops, driver changes, and plenty of strategic intrigue. All of the cars are race-going versions of contemporary supercars, bringing plenty of glamour to the circuit.

The grid is packed with top-class talents including reigning champion Raffaele Marciello, who will defend the crown in a Mercedes-AMG GT3, whilst Markus Winkelhock, who famously led at the Nurburgring on his Grand Prix debut, will drive an Audi R8.

There is lots of British interest on this year’s grid too, including regular British GT Championship front-runner Phil Keen in a Lamborghini Huracan. Ricky Collard, son of British Touring Car Championship ace Rob, will compete too behind the wheel of the latest Aston Martin V8 Vantage.

Off the circuit, the event will feature a stunning supercar display comprising some of the planet’s most mouth-watering road cars. From the Pagani Huayra to the Lamborghini Aventador, there will be something for everyone and some great photo opportunities. Some of these stunning hypercars will even take to the circuit on Sunday afternoon for a high speed demo.

Other interactive elements to the event will include a pit walk and autograph sessions, plus fairground rides, and other off-track activities.

Support racing will be provided by the GT4 European Series for slightly lower-spec supercar-based race cars, plus the Porsche Club Championship and the 7 Race Series for Caterham roadsters.

Discounted advance tickets are available online for £25 until midday on Thursday 2 May with FREE entry for under 13s. For more information, visitwww.brandshatch.co.uk.
