Horse racing fans around the UK are being urged to take part in a quiz to test how much they know about the sport!

Ahead of the Cheltenham Festival – which starts tomorrow – people are being encouraged to join in, in what’s being described as possibly one of the hardest horse racing quizzes to date.

The say-what-you see game is centered on an image containing 50 clues all of which correspond to the names of horses – some are running at the Festival.

Daniel Thomas is Head of Editorial and Social Content at Paddy Power Betfair. He said: “While we have some of the best racing insight in the business through our ambassadors and tipsters, we wanted to use the build-up to Cheltenham as a chance to take a more light-hearted look at the Festival.

“We were all hopelessly addicted to the Find50 Football Clubs game so thought a Cheltenham Horses version from the guys at Reflect would be a perfect way to get our social followers having a bit of fun – as well as tearing their hair out – ahead of the serious punting next week.”

Christopher Brady is Social Media Content Manager at Paddy Power Betfair. He said: “There have been so many memorable moments at Cheltenham, this was a great fun way to recall some of the heroes of past festivals.

“People like to think they know horses – let’s see them prove it.

“We’ve had over 2,000 players so far – just ten people have been able to complete it.

“It’s definitely proving tough. Different people are struggling with different clues, which goes to show – it’s only easy when you know the answer!”

Becky Simms is Managing Director at Kent-based Reflect Digital, the company behind the game. She said: “Betfair were huge fans of our Football quiz and were in the select few that completed all 50, so we were really excited when they approached us for a horse variation.

“It’s even tougher than the football one as horse names can be so obscure!

“Our creative team did a great job in bringing the horse names to life as pictorial clues.

“We’re excited to see the love for the game build as the Cheltenham festival kicks off.”

If you are feeling determined and fancy your chances, the quiz can be played here.
