The new season edged a step closer with news that tickets for Charlton’s two home pre-season friendlies will go on sale on Tuesday morning.

‎Tickets for the games will, as usual, be priced at £10 for adults, £5 for concessions and £3 for Under-12s.

Ticket details for the warm up games at Welling and Stevenage have also been released.

Welling prices are £13 adults, £8 concessions and £5 for Under-12s, with a £2 supplement for seats.

Tickets purchased on the day will be subject to a £2 increase. The game will take ‎place on Saturday 15 July and will kick-off at 3.00pm. Tickets can be purchased from Park View Road, but will not be available from The Valley.

Tickets for the game against Stevenage at the Lamex Stadium on Saturday 22 July will only be available on the day.

Prices will be £12 for adults and OAPs, £10 for Under-19s, and £5 for Under-12s. The game will kick-off at 3.00pm.

The League One fixture‎ sceduled to be played at Northampton on Saturday 31 March may be brought forward 24 hours, and be played on Good Friday.

The Sheffield Star carried a story suggesting Blades targets, Ryan Leonard and Ricky Holmes, would push for moves to Bramall Lane.

Holmes was said to be particularly keen to sample Championship football, and was alleged to have rejected the new deal on offer at The Valley.

Holmes returned for pre-season training on Monday and tieing him down to a new deal is high on Karl Robinson’s priority list.

The deal on offer is a good one, both in terms of money and length. The manager is confident that his charismatic winger will stay at The Valley.
