Hill ready for Donington Park
Hill ready for Donington Park

After taking a superb top-ten qualifying and a battling drive into points at the opening round of the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship at Brands Hatch, 23 year-old Jake Hill is looking to build on this strong start as the series makes it’s annual journey to Donington Park this Easter weekend.

“We learned so much about the car and how the 2017 Dunlop tyres work, and although we didn’t get as many laps at Donington on Media Day in March as we planned we got some really good data so I’m going with a lot of confidence to one of my favourite tracks on the calendar” smiled Hill.

Hill and Team HARD team-mate Michael Epps both showed strong pace at Brands, with Will Burns having a challenging debut but also showing raw speed, and feel that Donington will suit the VW Passat CC well.

“My TAG Racing Passat was fastest in the speed traps in testing – it’s a very aerodynamic car – and balanced at high-speed, so I’m confident we can again challenge for points – to be in the mix in this incredibly competitive 32 car field is really tough – but I really want to put on a strong show for all of our guests from TAG Industries, and also my personal partners Rolec, Sportif Cars, Brisky Racing,AW Supply Services, Ecoflam and Danfoss who are bringing guests this weekend, and to Bill Rawles Classic Cars who will be supporting us too. I am so looking forward to this one – it’s only been two weeks but feels ages since I was in the car!”

Qualifying is LIVE on line at  itv sport.com/btcc from 3.30pm this Saturday (15th), with the races LIVE on ITV4 from 10.45 this Sunday (16th) – races at 11.30am – 2.20pm and 5.15pm
