Hill back with new team in 2016

Tommy Hill will be back in the MCE British Superbike Championship in 2016 with his own team THM ePayMe Yamaha.Tommy Hill27

It represents a new direction for Hill as he will be launching his Tommy Hill Motorsport Team with title sponsors ePayMe for the new season.

Hill and his new team THM will be fully supported Yamaha, a manufacturer that Hill has close affiliations with. Leading to his 2011 Superbike championship title and that was a thrilling title decider, and hopefully next season Tommy can bring that to the championship in the next campaign.

This is a highly ambitious partnership between Tommy and title sponsors ePayMe and a continuation of a relationship forged in the 2015 season. Hill has experience of launching a new team, having brought BeWiser SBK to the grid in 2015, and he will no doubt bring a great looking outfit to the grid in 2016.

Speaking about his new venture Hill, said: “This project is something I have been working hard on over the past two to three months. To secure ePayMe payroll Solutions as the Official team partner is great news and to be working in conjunction with Yamaha as a fully supported team is just the icing on the cake.

“I have had such a long career with Yamaha, starting with my first ever race bike when I was just six-years-old to winning the championship with Shaun Muir’s team in 2011. We have had a long and successful relationship together and I hope this can continue.

“After setting up a team in MCE BSB last season I know what it takes, and that you also have to be realistic, but I have been able to take a huge amount of experience into this new project. I also have some great guidance and support from people who have been a huge part of my racing career and to have Yamaha and ePayMe support this new venture is just fantastic news. I still have lots to finalise in the coming weeks and months, but I hope to get everything in place as soon possible, so we can be prepared to hit the ground running.”
