It has been announced that Kent based company FM Conway Ltd will be backing Kiern Jewiss in his first season in the Ginetta Junior Championship for 2017.

The new partnership, that will last until the end of next season, sees FM Conway Ltd offering their support to the hugely talented 14-year-old at what is an important period of his burgeoning career. This season sees Jewiss departing the karting ranks as he makes the step up to the 2017 Ginetta Junior Championship.

Both based in Kent, Jewiss and FM Conway Ltd are hopeful that the new partnership will help the five-time British karting champion to continue his unprecedented level of success as he enters his first season of competitive car racing.

Jewiss is hugely grateful to FM Conway Ltd for their support and feels that the new partnership will allow him to make a seamless transition into cars this year and beyond.

“I am really proud to be supported by a company with such a respected reputation. Travelling my home county of Kent, you cannot go anywhere without seeing an FM Conway van, so it is fantastic to have the support of such a successful local company. The next two years are huge for me as I look to make a lasting impact on the Ginetta Junior Championship and I have no doubts that with FM Conway’s support, this is an achievable aim.”

Chief Executive of MB Partners, Mark Blundell, feels that the partnership provides a natural fit as both parties look to enjoy a successful period together.

FM Conway have been long-term friends of the team at MB Partners and a huge vote of thanks must go to Michael Conway MBE for his ongoing support. We are over the moon to have FM Conway supporting Kiern as his primary partner for the next two years. Aligning one of Kent’s most successful companies with one of the county’s most promising sporting talents makes this a really exciting partnership and we look forward to seeing it grow over the next two years.”

Michael Conway MBE, Chief Executive of FM Conway Ltd, is excited at the thought of helping one of the UK’s most talented young racing drivers fulfil his potential.

“You cannot help but sit up and take notice when you read Kiern’s record. Very few can claim to have had such a successful karting career and we look forward to supporting him as he makes his long-awaited switch to cars.”

This weekend marks Jewiss’ first outing in the Ginetta Junior Championship as he takes to the Brands Hatch Indy track looking to get his campaign off to a successful start.
