Ebbsfleet United v Bromley preview

Bromley travel to Ebbsfleet Utd on Tuesday night for a National League local derby at Stonebridge Road between two sides desperate for a win to give their season a kick start.

The Ravens suffered a fourth consecutive defeat on Saturday away at Solihull Moors, losing 5-0 in a display that manager Neil Smith dubbed the worst since he’s been manager and unacceptable.

The loss left Bromley nineteenth in the table with 10 points from 12 games, hovering just above the bottom four.

The Fleet have only won one home game so far this season and not at all since August, but sit five points better off than their opponents in fourteenth having also played twelve matches.

On Saturday Daryl McMahon’s side drew 1-1 at home to Havant & Waterlooville, Corey Whiteley scoring for The Fleet.

When the two teams met last season over the Christmas period the matches were won by the home side by a single goal, but the Bromley team has changed radically since that time and Smith has struggled to find the right formula so far with his new squad this campaign.

These games are usually fiercely contested in a lively atmosphere and with a lot riding on the result, especially for the visitors this should be another entertaining derby game.
