On what was a breezy and showery day at Stonebridge Road, Ebbsfleet United were knocked out of FA Trophy by Dagenham & Redbridge.

A strike by Balanta in the first half saw Dagenham go through by winning 1-0 at Ebbsfleet.

For Ebbsfleet there was only one change as Graham replaced Weston. The return of former Fleet player, Kenny Clark take the captain position for the visitor’s side.

Nathan Ashmore got caught in possession by loanee from Gillingham, allow Wilkinson to quickly steal the ball but Ashmore put Wilkinson under pressure as he took an early shot wide of the far post.

By far from Garry Hill’s side has been dominating the first half as they have more control to the game. Dagenham failed to handle the ball as Lewis Moore took a free kick but King catch the ball before Daggers get chance to take over.

Chris Bush did well to stop the attack as Wilkinson quickly run down the right-hand side with the ball after Bush headed the ball back to Ashmore.

Ebou Adams drilled a shot from outside the box as he spinning down cutting inside and make his attempt.

Defender Jack King went off the target after trying to score from Magri cross.

Nathan Ashmore did well to save a shot with his foot from Liam Gordon despite the fact that it can be given to Wilkinson. Quickly turnover in less than a minute, Balanta lobbed the ball went over Ashmore head to give the Daggers 1-0 lead.

With Whitely pass the ball through to Michael Cheek into the box as they try to fight for an equaliser but later was denied by the Daggers keeper.

Payne was forced out of the game due to his injury before the first half ended.

Two minutes added into first half of the game, Whitely speedily cut to the left, the ball went flying but was denied before the final minute of first half.

The Fleet back to creating some great opportunity as Graham cross to Cheek in the second half but the Daggers did well to block that opportunity away from the Fleet.

Garry Hill has made 2 changes in this second half as he replaces Drury for Adams and McDonald for Wilson. Both teams created 2 chances but Nathan Ashmore did well to save it from Wilkinson also unlucky for the Fleet as the ball went over the bar.

Decent effort from Drury but it went too wide out, make it 0-1 for both teams.

Decent passing from Kandi link up with McQueen, McQueen take a chance shot away but easily saved by the Fleet keeper.

Another great opportunity for the Fleet as Whitely runs down to the right finds McDonald in the box but the ball was shoot wide out.

Pressure on Ebbsfleet as Cheek deflected shot gone out which results a corner for the Fleet but Wright clears it. Another corner been given but this time it scrambled off the line.

Three minutes added, the Fleet win another corner but Onariase cleared it away from the Fleet. Remains 0-1 for both sides.

Unfortunate for the home side to conceded a goal at home and got knocked out of FA Trophy but Dagenham was defending their score which help them through to the next round.
