The Invicta Dynamos go into their final weekend of the season knowing two good games could see them pick up more silverware.

Kevin Parrish’s side have already scooped the NIHL Southern Cup along with finishing second in the league and this weekend they stand a good chance of picking up another trophy when they face Wightlink Raiders over two legs in the play-off final.

Having eased their way past Milton Keynes Thunder 9-5 on aggregate in last weekend’s semi-final, the Kent side head to the Isle of Wight on Saturday night looking to keep things tight before returning to Gillingham for the second leg on Sunday evening.

With another packed crowd expected for the return leg in Kent, Parrish is hoping his side can finish this campaign on a high and give the Dynamos fans yet more to celebrate:

“It’s going to be a battle, it’s our last week and we’ve got to give it everything we’ve got to give it our all.”

“There are no excuses to be made and we have got two games to win another cup.”

“We’re looking forward to playing in another final in front of another bumper crowd.”

“We wanted to win things here this season and to cap it off by winning another final will be fantastic.”

Dynamos Final

Going to the Isle of Wight will be a tough test for the Dynamos with their rink notoriously difficult to play in for travelling sides and with history between the two teams, it could be lively, but Parrish wants his side to focus on the ice hockey and come back to Gillingham to finish the job off:

“Hopefully we can go to their barn and come away with a good scoreline. We know the way they play and we know it will be a tough battle, especially because of the rink they play in.”

“We have to look forward to this weekend as the fans have waited for this for a long time.”

“The past is the past. There is a Cup Final to play for and we will be playing for the Invicta Dynamos logo on the front of the shirt.”

Face off at Silver Blades in Gillingham is 5:15pm on Sunday evening with fans encouraged to buy their tickets in advance to avoid the queues, or get to the rink early to guarantee a seat.
