KSN are proud to support:

Dorking Wanderers 6-0 Folkestone Invicta
Dorking Wanderers 6-0 Folkestone Invicta

Invicta suffered their biggest defeat of the season against title favourites and league leaders Dorking at their new Meadowbank Stadium with its 3G playing area.

Folkestone gave as good as they got early on and could even claim to have had a slight in the first half before the well-travelled Jason Prior head Wanderers into the lead three minutes before the break.

Invcta claimed that wingback Nat Blanks had been blatantly fouled In the build-up to that goal but the referee was having none of that.

Johan Ter Horst had looked lively in that first period and Ade Yusuff forced a decent save out of Slavomir Huk at the foot of the post as the visitors had a reasonably even share of possession.

After an even start to the second period Dorking took control as Prior added his second goal of the game followed by James McShane making it 3-0 and Tom Richards adding a fourth goal all in the space of five minutes.

McShane’s second of the game completed the rout in stoppage time at the end.

On this evidence, owner/manager Marc White’s expensively assembled squad well give him promotion in return for his considerable expenditure.

For their part, Invicta will be keen to bounce back as soon as possible and have the chance to do just that when they take on Corinthian Casuals at the Fulliicks Stadium on Tuesday evening, ko 7.45pm.

Invicta: Roberts; Starkey, Blanks, O’Mara, Davies, Paxman, Heard, Everitt, Ter Horst, Yusuff, Draycott.

Subs: McCann, Newman, Jackson, Hasler, Shaw

Attendance: 518
