Deutsche Fest will become the latest themed bonanza to join the Brands Hatch calendar when it debuts this weekend.
This all-new weekender with camping will be a fantastic event for German car enthusiasts and casual fans alike, with a mixture of car clubs a German themed race programme and off-track spread to match.
On-track action will be headlined by the Maximumgroup.net VAG Trophy on Saturday and Volkswagen Racing Cup on Sunday, with both championships promoting close racing for cars from the VW group. One-make VW races are always frantic with overtaking, and a little contact, so with four races between the classes across the two days, we’re guaranteed plenty of thrills and spills.
Other highlight races will include a double-header E30 M3 Celebration, as the iconic BMW marks the 30th anniversary of its first DTM win. Plus, there will be other one-make fixtures for German modified saloon cars.
The racing will be interspersed with demonstrations from significant German machinery, plus F1 cars, as well as public trackday sessions. It’s still possible to book your own car in for track time at www.msvtrackdays.com.
The venue’s off-track areas will showcase the efficiency and innovation of German horsepower, with cars from VW, BMW, Audi, and Porsche sharing the spotlight in extensive car displays. This will include participation from various car clubs, and many of the cars will be turned out in concours condition for the ‘Das Auto’ awards.
Other activities will include stunt shows, and trade stands selling accessories for German cars.
There will be plenty of reason to come and make a weekend out of it too, with entertainment continuing well into the evening on Saturday night. An Oktoberfest-style beer tent will encourage guests to stay the night on our on-site campsite featuing full facilities, with live music, beer, an oompah band, and more fun and games.
