Brighton & Hove Albion are being linked with a transfer window move for Gillingham attacking midfielder Bradley Dack.

The 22-year-old, who has scored 32 goals in over 100 appearances for the Kent club, was crowned League One Player of the Year last season and bagged the winner as The Gills came from behind to beat Watford 2-1 in the EFL Cup on Tuesday night.

Dack scored 15 goals in 40 appearances for the Gills in an impressive campaign last season, enough to see him chosen ahead of Swindon’s Nicky Ajose and Walsall midfielder Romaine Sawyers.

He was a youth player at Charlton before joining the Gills in 2010. He enjoyed a prolific pre-season in 2012 and was given his professional debut in August 2012 by then manager Martin Allen.

Brighton have so far brought in six new players this summer as they look to push again for promotion to the Premier League for the first time.

Manager Chris Hughton has signed striker Glenn Murray on loan from Bournemouth as well as Ben Hall, Steve Sidwell, Tyler Hornby-Forbes, Sam Adekugbe and Reading’s Oliver Norwood on permanent deals.
