Cray Wanderers vs Molesey – Preview

After Tuesday night’s impressive come from behind 3-2 win at Horsham, Cray Wanderers are back in action at Hayes Lane on Saturday afternoon when they entertain Molesey in the Ryman League Division One South.Horsham v Cray

With two straight league wins under their belts The Wands will be looking to continue their progress up the table against a Molesey team who sit in eleventh, five points behind Tony Russell’s side who have risen to seventh only two points off the play off spots.

The Black and Ambers have been boosted by the return of midfielder Karl Dent from injury and he was on hand to score the last minute winner on Tuesday night as they came back  from 1-0 and 2-1 down. Bradley Wood-Garness scored his first goal for the club and with Danny Haynes having scored in last Saturdays win at Godalming it looks like the forwards are finding some form, which was something Russell commented on after the 1-0 defeat to Hythe Town.

The Moles also come into the game on a run of two wins after defeating Chipstead 1-0 and Tooting & Mitcham Utd 2-1 on Tuesday night, with Staff Palmer scoring both goals.

With both sides full of confidence and looking to string a run of victories together this should be a close entertaining match and hopefully The Wands can continue to top the 150 attendance mark, their football certainly deserves a bigger audience.
