Cray Wanderers v Corinthian Casuals – preview

Cray Wanderers look to continue their recent good run for form on Saturday afternoon when they entertain Corinthian Casuals at Hayes Lane in Bostik League Division One South.

The Wands are unbeaten in five games and racked up eight goals without reply against Horsham in the FA Trophy last Saturday before securing a good point away at Faversham Town on Tuesday drawing 0-0, leaving Tony Russell’s side eighth in the table on the fringes of the play off spots with 20points from 11 matches played.

Casuals make the trip over from Tolworth on the back of a 2-0 victory over AFC Dunstable in the trophy and sit fourth the league with 22points from their 11 games. Last season they lost the play off final to Dorking Wanderers and look set to be challenging for promotion again this term.

Cray were boosted by the return of Mitchell Nelson and Ben Mundele to the squad in midweek, but they were still missing Luke Medley and Timi Osibodu through injury.

When the two sides met at Hayes Lane towards the end of last season Casuals ran out winners 4-3 in a thriller of a match.

This should be a close well contested match between two good footballing sides who will both hope to be in the promotion mix at the end of the season.
