Cray Wanderers v Carshalton Athletic preview

League leaders Cray Wanderers take on fourth place Carshalton Athletic in the Bostik League Division One at Hayes Lane on Saturday afternoon in a game that could go a long way to shaping the promotion race as Spring approaches.

The Wands got back to Winning ways last weekend with a 2-1 win At Ramsgate, boosted by the return from suspension of Mitchell Nelson and Barney Williams.

The game also saw Michael Power notch his 24th goal of the season. Further good news for Cray is that Aaron Rhule will also finally be back from his ban for this match giving manager Tony Russell more attacking options.

Carshalton make the short journey over from Surrey on the back of a 2-1 win over Hythe Town with goals from Raheem Sterling-Parker and Omar Koroma.

Peter Adeniyi’s side have been on a good run since Christmas winning five and drawing one. The Robins have two games in hand on The Wands sitting four points behind.

When the two sides met at Colston Avenue in December the game ended 1-1 and this one should be equally as close, contested between two good footballing teams on a good playing surface.

As a special offer Bromley season ticket holders not traveling to Tranmere can get in for £5 for this match, a bargain for what promises to be a top of the table cracker.
