Conway on track for WEC

Mike Conway returns to the track this weekend for the latest round of the FIA World Endurance Championship as he and his Toyota team head to the Nürburgring for the 6 hours of Germany. 24 Heures du Mans 2016 © 2016 Musson/PSP. All Rights Reserved.

Conway and his team mates Stéphane Sarrazin and Kamui Kobayashi, in the #6 TS050 Hybrid, finished second at Le Mans to stay in contention for the drivers’ World Championship and, like their sister car, they aim for a first win of the season at the Nürburgring.

Ahead of the weekend, Mike said: “Nürburgring is a cool track so I’m really looking forward to the race. It will be interesting to see who will have the right package there as it is a high downforce circuit so we will come with revised aerodynamics. Hopefully we can continue our strong pace from Le Mans. With our car we are still in the fight for the championship, hopefully we can keep scoring solid points and catch up. The atmosphere last year at Nürburgring was great and I’m hoping to again see a lot of our fans and colleagues, as it is one of our home races.”
