Brooks finishes season with points finishes

Daniel Brooks racing ended their first season of tarmac racing in the Santander KTM RC cup at the Brands Hatch GP circuit last weekend.

It’s been a fantastic season for the young lad from Strood, who made the jump from national level motorcross to British level tarmac racing at the start of the season.

The team headed to the final round of the British superbike series on the back of a disappointing weekend at Oulton Park last time out. After a good practice and qualifying sessions, Daniel started the Saturday race from 15th on the grid. After a fantastic start, Dan managed to push on and finish the race in 12th, meaning he jumped 2 places in the championship with 1 race left on the Sunday.

The final day of the season.. after a great year it was time for Daniel’s last race of the championship, and what a way to end it. Lap times from Saturdays race meant Daniel started 16th on the grid. Another great start see Daniel heading into turn 1 around tenth. A race long battle for 3rd went all the way back to 15th with the young Kent lad scoring points once again in 14th.

Daniel ended his first year of road racing with a top 20 finish overall in the championship.

The team would like to thank all their sponsors for this season and everyone is looking forward to next season.

If anyone would like to get involved with the team for next season with sponsorship or any other help. Please contact Chris at Kent sports news and he will pass your details onto the team.
