Bromley v Maidenhead United – Preview

Following a great week for the club‎, which saw progress to the FA Cup First Round and a win over third place Woking, Bromley are back in National League action at Hayes Lane on Tuesday night against Maidenhead Utd.

The Ravens beat Woking 2-0 on Saturday with two identical headed goals from set pieces just before half time. Neil Smith was boosted by the return of Brett Williams from suspension and George Porter from Injury allowing Jack Holland to return to the defence.
The Magpies are in their first National League season following promotion from the South division last April. Experienced manager Alan Devonshire has overseen a creditable start to this campaign with his side sitting in ‎twelfth with 23 points from 16 games.
Maidenhead will have a familiar face in their line up with striker Moses Emmanuel joining on a two month loan. Emmanuel was top scorer at Bromley for his two seasons there, scoring 37 goals and made his debut in the 1-1 draw at Dover this weekend.
This should be another tight game between teams who have met regularly over the years in their Isthmian League and Conference South days, both making progress to the highest level on non league Football today.
Bromley now sit in sixth and will be looking to keep in touch with play off places going into a busy November schedule including the FA Cup game at Rochdale and the longest trip of the season to Barrow.
