Bromley v Chester – Preview
Bromley v Chester – Preview

After last weekend’s injury time win at Guiseley, Bromley are back in National League action at home on Saturday afternoon when they entertain Chester at Hayes Lane.

With the exception of the FA Cup exit The Ravens have been in a good run of form, despite missing several players through injury and suspension, including Ben Chorley, Roger Johnson, Brett Williams and George Porter. Striker Tarshan Adeyinka and midfielder Dom Vose have joined the club to boost the squad, Adeyinka making his full debut at Guiseley and Vose coming on as sub and setting up fellow sub Iffy Allen for the late winner. The victory left Neil Smith’s side in sixth place with an impressive 31points from 19 matches played.

Chester travel down from Cheshire in twenty second place having taken 16points from their 19 games, they have already changed manager with Marcus Bignott replacing John McCarthy. Bignott who had successful spells at Solihull and Grimsby has began his reign by making several changes to the squad. Last week The Blues lost 1-0 to bitter rival Wrexham and they have only won three league games so far this campiagn.

When the two sides met at Hayes Lane in March last season, Chester won 1-0 with a late strike, a win which ended a difficult run for the visitors.

Chester are always well supported, so another good crowd is expected for this one with the visitors looking to move away from the drop zone and Bromley hoping to keep in touch with the play off spots.
