Bromley v Aldershot Town preview

After Saturday’s 1-1 draw at home to Chester, Bromley are back in National League action at Hayes Lane on Tuesday night against another former Football league club when they entertain Aldershot Town.

The Shots travel over from Hampshire in fifth place, one point in front of The Ravens, having won 2-0 at Hartlepool Utd on the weekend and are on a good run of form under manager Gary Waddock.

The former Ireland and Millwall players has overseen a rise in the fortunes of his team during his second spell in charge at The Recreation Ground.

Bromley were left slightly frustrated after the draw with Chester, Neil Smith ruing his side not taking the chances that were very hard to come by in a tight, hard fought game.

George Porter returned to the side from suspension to play up front with recent signing Tarshan Adeyinka dropping to the bench to make way for him, but the lack of a regular goal scorer up front was still an issue.

Converted winger Louis Dennis notching the goal for the home side only a minute after they conceded. Brett Williams remains suspended and misses out with the injured defensive duo Roger Johnson and Ben Chorley.

The last time the sides met at Hayes Lane in August 2016 the sides drew 2-2 with The Ravens coming back from being two down early on in the game, while the reverse fixture finished 4-0 to The Shots in February.

With both sides looking to stay in the play off spots this should be a well contested entertaining match.
