Brands Hatch to go with a bang
Brands Hatch to go with a bang

Get ready for more pops, bangs, and crackles than ever before when Brands Hatch’s annual Truck Racing and Fireworks spectacular returns this autumn (Sunday 4 November), with a longer and more spectacular pyrotechnic display – plus some exciting new additions.

The Kent racing circuit’s display is firmly established as one of the biggest and best in the south east, and this year’s is set to further enhance that reputation.

The Brands Hatch display is already famed for its big bangs as it builds towards an almighty crescendo, and they’ll be even greater when the event returns next month.

Truck racing and Fireworks have been successfully paired at the world-famous racing circuit since 2012, with a colourful on-track programme complemented by a huge off-track show.

There is always a real carnival atmosphere around the place in early November as the fairground rides are illuminated by the rockets in the sky. Other attractions this year will include free dinosaur shows, circus workshops, music, and stunt shows.

Unique to the Brands Hatch display is the ‘twilight convoy’ which sees HGVs from southern England take to the circuit with lights ablaze as the fireworks take to the sky. This makes Brands Hatch’s display one of the most colourful in the UK, and ensures it possesses a distinct character of its own.

The iconic Brands Hatch Indy circuit sits within a natural amphitheatre, meaning that fans can witness the entire event including the truck racing, evening convoy, and Fireworks display which launches from South Bank opposite the pit garages.

Whether watching from a grandstand, hospitality, or the grass banks – all visitors will have a fine vantage point.

For anyone looking to make a day of it, there will be a full day’s motor racing before the fireworks grand finale around 5pm. Track action will be headlined by British Truck Racing, with support races too.

This Brands Hatch season highlight provides great value for families, with adult tickets costing £20 for the full day when booked in advance. Under-13s go free and there is a reduced rated for under-13s too. Visit www.brandshatch.co.uk for more information.
