Bowyer pleased with Addicks comeback
Sunday sparked pleasant memories. It marked the seventh anniversary of that never-to-be-‎forgotten day at Carlisle, when Charlton clinched promotion to end their three year exile in League One.

The Addicks are still in with every chance of winning promotion again this year, if they maintain their current fine form.
Despite losing at The Valley on Saturday, Lee Bowyer expects Luton to go up, as he explained after the game:
“‎Luton will go up. They are a very, very, very good side. They’ve got good players, they’re solid, they have energy, they move the ball well.
“We pressed really, really high and fast and they just popped it round us at times. Today was two good sides, good, hard-working side.
“They’ve got everything, they deserve to go up because from what I’ve just witnessed today they are very good.”
Charlton’s strikers were in good form on Saturday, with Lyle Taylor notching two of the goals and Igor Vetokele scoring the other one. Bowyer paid this tribute to Taylor:
“I think his all-around play has improved, he’s fitter, quicker, stronger, his awareness is better, his finishing hasn’t changed much, he’s always been a good finisher, that’s why we bought him here.
“I think as a package as a striker he’s improved,”‎and added these thoughts about Vetokele:
‎”I think what you are seeing is Igor getting fitter. Tuesday was the best that Igor had played for me and today he’s just topped it.
“He’s getting fitter. You’ve got to remember he didn’t really play much the first half of the season, then he dislocated his shoulder and then he got thrown in the deep end because Lyle was out and obviously Karlan had gone.
“It was unfair to judge him. I’m glad he is fit now and looking like the player that I’ve not really seen.”
‎Tthe Addicks have got a busy Easter schedule coming up. They travel to Oxford on Friday, and will host Scunthorpe on Monday.
Fans will have one eye on events elsewhere though, hoping that Barnsley, Portsmouth and Sunderland slip up!‎
