Bellamy joins Ebbsfleet on loan

Ebbsfleet United have signed 20-year-old Brentford midfield player Liam Bellamy on a month’s loan.

Bellamy, began his career with Charlton Athletic, and has previously enjoyed work experience with Ryman League Cray Wanderers.

He goes straight into the Fleet squad to face promotion-chasing Wrexham at Stonebridge Road tomorrow (Tuesday) night.

Meanwhile, the Fleet have cancelled the contract of midfielder Alexander Stavrinou by mutual consent. Stavrinou first appeared for Ebbsfleet two seasons ago while on loan from Charlton, and joined the Fleet permanently at the start of this campaign. He had a successful loan spell at Lewes earlier in the season.

“Stav has done great for Ebbsfleet,” said manager Liam Daish, “but this time around he has found it tough to break into the side on a regular basis. He leaves the club with our best wishes and we wish him well for the future.”

Stavrinou played 34 games for the Fleet in total, scoring once.
