Bromley’s three game tour of the local South Eastern Counties League clubs ended at a scorching hot Eden Park Avenue where The Ravens recorded a comfortable three goal victory.

Beckenham’s superb playing surface allowed Bromley to pass the ball quickly and get it out wide where Dave Martin and Blair Turgott posed a real threat delivery crosses for Adam Cunnington and Tobu Sho-Silva.

Sho Silva had two early chances, one going narrowly wide and another blocked on the line before Cunnington had an effort saved and Martin saw a cross shot tipped over.

Turgott had a free kick saved before the deadlock was broken on 18 minutes when Sho Silva surged past the home defence, held the ball up and delivered the perfect ball for Turgott to convert from close range.

As The Ravens continued to press Shol Silva had an effort scrambled away and Cunninton headed wide when well placed before the second goal came on 40 minutes.

Sho Silva was brought down on the edge of the box on another blistering rub and Cunnington despatched the free kick with real power low into the corner for 2-0.

The second half was again broken up by several changes on either side, Beckenham created some chances, but couldn’t find a way past Alan Julian or his replacement Oliver Pain in The Ravens goal.

Cunnington, former Spurs & Wolves midfielder Rohan Ricketts and Ben May all had efforts saved, but with both sides struggling to build momentum in the conditions it was only late on that Joe Anderson completed the scoring on 89 minutes with a neat finish from a parried Brad Goldberg effort.

Neil Smith now has a week to work on finalising the squad and patterns of play before they travel to former manager Mark Golsberg’s Welling United side on Saturday.
