Reports over the weekend suggested that newly promoted Blackburn are closing in on a deal to take Patrick Bauer to Ewood Park.
The 25-year-old German defender has been reliable and consistent during his three seasons at The Valley, and has captained the team on a number of occasions.
Bauer has made 89 league appearances for the Addicks, scoring eight goals.
He has just a year left on his contract, and Blackburn are thought to be willing to pay around £500,000 for his services.
Rovers are managed by Tony Mowbray who was a central defender himself.
Leeds are also thought to be interested in signing Bauer.
