For the third successive year American Speedfest, the greatest celebration of American motor racing on this side of the Atlantic, will be held at Brands Hatch.
The event will be on Sunday 7th June 2015 and over the last three years it has quickly established itself as a popular day out for all the family, and exciting new additions to the event will ensure that it will be better than ever in the summer.
A huge range of North American inspired cars will attend the Kent track in June with authentic US-style stock car racing with the only NASCAR race series sanctioned outside North America, the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series, plus the thunderous American classic muscle cars of Bernie’s V8s. In addition there will be over 1,000 American vehicles including cars, bikes and trucks as well as famous Hollywood movie cars and monster truck shows.
The day will not only be entertaining for motorsport enthusiasts as the event will also incorporate stunt shows, live music, with bands and tribute acts performing some American classic pop and rock songs and stateside inspired food; a children’s play zone featuring bouncy castles face painting and entertainers will ensure that every family member is able to enjoy their day.
Despite being hosted by Brands Hatch on three occasions in the past, the show is always looking to improve, this year a hot rod and custom car show promises to dazzle with fantastically modified cars whilst the first Power Champion of Brands competition will face off against hugely powerful muscle cars on a rolling road.
Add a scene from Daytona Raceway – a rousing rendition of The Star Spangled Banner – the infectious enthusiasm of Cheerleaders, and the chance for spectators to join the NASCAR race winner’s celebrations in Victory Lane, and visitors will believe they have made the trip overseas to see some of the most powerful and fastest cars from across the Atlantic.
