Ajose linked with Valley departure
Ajose linked with Valley departure
Nicky Ajose has not set the world on fire since his arrival from Swindon in the summer.

To be fair, Russell Slade never really set the team up to make the most of Ajose’s strengths, and the diminutive hit man is not suited to Karl Robinson’s preferred 4-2-3-1 shape.
There have been a few rumours suggesting Ajose could be heading back to Swindon on loan, or possibly be involved in a swap deal.
He is now 25, should be approaching his prime, and needs to be playing regularly.
Since his arrival at The Valley, Ajose has made 23 starts, 5 substitute appearances, and scored 7 goals in all competitions.
Everything looked rosy early on, the former Manchester United trainee scored a hat-trick in the opening pre-season game at Welling in July, and linked up well with Lee Novak.
The pair looked to ‎have struck up a good partnership, but both sustained injuries during pre-season.
Though they started in tandem in the season opener at Bury, injuries, loss of form, and the arrival of Josh Magennis! has meant that they have rarely started together since.
It would be a surprise if Ajose is at The Valley next season, but could he be a surprise departure this month?
